What should I expect when I visit your church?
When you visit Bright Hope Fellowship for the first time, you’ll enter into a relaxed, casual and friendly atmosphere. You’ll be greeted at the door with a warm smile and friendly handshake, and you can either blend in with the crowd or ask a greeter to direct you to anywhere you’d like to go. In the foyer you’ll find information that you’re welcome to browse. Dress is casual.
During a typical church service you can expect a live band with contemporary music, challenging messages that will help you apply Biblical principals to real, everyday life, and the use of media/video.
Where will my children go when I visit?
We pour a lot of energy into making our children’s ministries just as excellent as our adult services. During the main service hour your children are invited to join you for the first few minutes and then they will be excused to their own service, where they’ll have lots of fun as they make new friends and learn about God’s love.
We have a nursery for infants and toddlers through age 4. Promisetime is for children ages 5 - 3rd grade. If you have children in 4th grade or higher we invite them to join our main service on Sunday morning and then attend either Discovery Kids that meets at the 9:30 AM hour or our youth group that meets at 9:30 AM and on Mondays at 7:00 PM. Your children will be cared for and will have a great time.
What is the best way for me to feel "connected" at Bright Hope Fellowship?
As Bright Hope Fellowship, it's possible to feel "lost in the crowd" if you don't know many people. The best ways to get connected are through the following:
- Volunteer to serve in a ministry. Serving not only helps you meet people and get connected, it's also a great way to feel like you're part of something "big." Contact Pastor Ray to find ways to get involved through serving.
- Visit before, between, and after services over a cup of coffee. It's always nice to chat with people while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. Make a point to meet a new person every week, if you'd like!
- Join a small group (care group). Small Groups are a core value at Bright Hope Fellowship. They are something we believe can be life changing. Contact the Church office for more information.
What is a small group?
A small group, also referred to as a home group or care group, is where people get together to learn more about the Bible, Christianity, and each other. A small group offers a safe environment that fosters honesty and authenticity, where people can share their life stories, ask questions, and "go deep." Whether you're a seasoned Christian or a curious skeptic, small groups are a wonderful way to help you on your journey. Lifetime friendships are formed in small groups, where people "do life" together, pray together, and grow together.
